Livingston is the largest town in West Lothian, 24km from Edinburgh. Livingston has grown spectacularly over the last ten years and is home to many national and international companies, covering ten square miles of the River Almond valley.
The town has a large retail centre with two shopping malls, the Almondvale Centre and the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, and a choice of supermarkets. A range of entertainment and leisure facilities are available, including a multiplex cinema, ten-pin bowling, golf, sports centres, swimming pools, bars and restaurants. Amazing when you consider that until 1962 Livingston was open farmland surrounding an historical village on the road from Edinburgh to Glasgow!
