Hi, I'm Debbie & I'm Corporate Responsibility Champion for Molson Coors (UK). I have worked for MCBC for two years & it's fair to say that I have been motivated, inspired, challenged & learned something new on every day so far.
I 'grew up' working for Sainsburys, and while there developed a passion for working in the fast paced world of consumer goods. After many years of working in the south east I finally took the plunge to head north and follow my true love of being nearer the great outdoors.
After trying a few different companies I decided that I really needed a new challenge and an opportunity to take control of my career; to start driving towards my goals rather than being driven by other agendas.
I started working for Molson Coors as a project manager within the logistics function. That really enabled me to learn the ropes, find my way around (handy for logistics!) and start to get to grips in the world of a supplier. Since then I've not looked back. I quickly moved from one challenging project to another, mixing with both our suppliers and customers.
One of my main goals from employment at Molson Coors was to be able to work on projects which I really believe in and have a passion for. This has now happened in that i've recently moved into a role developing our UK Corporate Responsibility strategy. Something which combines my beliefs and passion with the experiences I have picked up throughout my career. I am now dealing daily with a great bunch of passionate people from all around the business who have equal drive, passion, integrity and ambition to deliver our ambitious goals.
However, there is more to life than work, so when I'm not in the office I try to spend as much time as possible in the nearby Peak District. Either on one of my beloved bicycles, or with a pair of trusty walking boots on. If the weather turns too bad, then my next favourite places is being crammed into a loud dark music venue with a great rock band or sitting in my 'local' with friends, and of course a great pint or two.
I would say if you are looking for a stimulating, challenging fast paced environment, and want the opportunity to start to drive your career rather than being a passenger, then Molson Coors is a great place to kick start your career.
